Site Specific
During her scholarship stay at the Spanish Academy in Rome, Darya von Berner was influenced by the Pompeian frescos, Roman Baroque, Caravaggio’s paintings in the church of San Luigi de Francesi and also by the wall-paintings of Sol Lewitt, so she left the canvas for the architectural space and began painting on walls, floors, ceilings and even people.
